GETTING STARTED |
Press K to start The "Sketch_N_Carve" menu will pop up. |

If you already have an object selected set your preferences and press OK or ENTER. |
If you want to start with a BLANK OBJECT press the "Add Blank Object" button, give it a name and press "OK", then set your preferences and press OK again or ENTER. |

This will create an Orthogonal Camera (Cam_Carve), A GREASE PENCIL object, and a bunch of collections. |

If you are starting with the default cube this is what you will see. |

It will also put Blender in DRAW mode with the grease pencil object selected. |
Now, all you have to do is draw a shape using any of the Grease Pencil tools. Using the pen, draw a shape. |

When you are done with the drawing press "K" again. This will convert the shape you have drawn to a mesh object and depending on the Boolean Operation you have chosen it will either remove ("Difference"), add ("Union") or intersect with the main object. The default is Remove ( "Difference"). In remove mode the shape you have drawn will be carved out from the main object. |

Rotate the camera or switch to user perspective for a better look. |

Turn off the "Guides" at the top of the menu to get rid of the wire lines. (This will snap the view to the initial angle. If you do not want the view to keep snapping back, switch to the perspective view by pressing "0".) |
