Installing the Addon

Please remember to uninstall the previous version of Sketch N' Cage before installing the new version.

To install the addon:

  • In Blender, click Edit > Preferences in the top bar menu, Add-ons > Install…

  • Browse to the directory where your addon file is saved, select Sketch_And_Cage.py then click Install Addon.

  • Check the box next to the addon in the list to enable it.

  • Save your preferences if it is not set to save automaticaly.

  • You will find SketchNCarve under "Object" menu.
 
Keyboard Shortcut

Although "Shift+K" is assigned for Sketch N' Cage, due to an existing shortcut it needs to be reassigned manually to work properly.

In Object mode you will find Sketch N' Cage under the "Object" menu. Right click on the name and select "Remove Shortcut".

Right click on the name again and select "Assign Shortcut". Choose a letter(s) available (single letter is best) and type it. In our case we will choose "Shift+K" again.

Save your Preferences again. You are good to go!
